We have won.

Too many politicians serve themselves. These next two years are about the people of District 6 and the people of Tennessee.

I thank God for His salvation, strength, and direction. I thank my wife, Annie for her help and support. I thank my family for their patience. I thank my volunteers for their hard work. I thank the people of District 6 for their prayers and their vote.

  My fellow Tennesseans,

I’m Micah Van Huss.  I live in Sulphur Springs and I’m running for State Representative in House district 6.

I’m married to a beautiful lady named Annie and am an 8th generation Northeastern Tennessean.

After graduating high school, I went to Florida to attend Pensacola Christian College where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.

After two years of making websites, I joined the Marine Corps with a desire to honor my family and serve our country.  For the last 6 years, I have deployed to Iraq 3 times and Afghanistan once.

While overseas, I began to notice the declining state of our nation.

I don’t want to see Tennessee going down the same path as Washington DC - with out of control government spending, corporate red tape, high taxes, moral decline, and the infringement of our constitutional rights – specifically the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 10th amendments.

I’m a firm believer that government doesn’t create jobs, but government can create the environment for job growth.

A man who does what he knows is right instead of what he thinks is popular is a man worth following.

I am very excited about the opportunity to run.  I need your vote and your support.  If you would like to talk with me, all of my contact information can be found on this site's Contact page.
